If you have never installed a casement window before, then I just want to tell you that it is sometimes harder than you think. What I would recommend is that you never try and install casement windows on your own but if you have to then I have a couple tricks for you. Just know that these tricks work well but it would make things a lot easier if you have some help.
In order to install casement windows on your own one of the first things that you need to do is prep the window. I know that this is not the most fun thing to do, but you need to do it in order to get the window in the hole easily. When I say prep the window I mean you need to get the rough frame ready to just slide the window into place. If you can make sure the installation process goes quickly and smoothly, then you won’t have much else to worry about.
Another thing that you will need to do is make sure that everything is right there when you start installing the window. If you don’t have all the necessary equipment right there with you, then you will have to run around trying to get everything in order to install the window. Just know that installing a casement window is not as easy as you may think if you don’t have everything for the install readily available.
One trick that you need to be fully aware of is that the window doesn’t have to be perfectly straight when you place it in the rough frame. The reason I say this is because at first you need to get the window lined up and then you can level it out. What most people do is they try to get the entire window leveled when in reality that is not necessary just yet. The best thing to do is get the bottom perfectly aligned and then work your way to the top. If you can do this, then you will find that installing casement frames is easy.
